Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Account & Registration
Q: Is registration on ThisVid free? Why do I need an account?
A: Yes, ThisVid is completely free to use. Registration is required to personalize your experience and separate content based on your selected orientation preferences (Straight, Gay, or Bisexual). This helps keep recommendations, categories, and community sections relevant to you.
Q: When will registration open?
A: Registration may be temporarily closed at certain times. We’re working on reopening registration for all users as soon as possible. Please check back later.
Q: I did not receive the activation email.
A: The activation email is normally sent within a few minutes after registration. If you have not received it, please check the following:
-
Verify the email address entered during registration.
In many cases, activation emails are not delivered because the email address was entered incorrectly. If necessary, register again and carefully re-enter the email address.
-
Check your Spam, Junk, and Promotions folders.
Some email providers automatically filter or delay automated messages.
-
Check available mailbox storage.
A full mailbox is one of the most common reasons activation emails are not delivered. If your mailbox has reached its storage limit, your mail server may reject incoming messages.
-
Try a different email provider.
Certain email providers frequently reject or fail to deliver our emails. Providers with recurring delivery issues include:
- yahoo.com
- myyahoo.com
- aol.com
- att.net
- free.fr
- proton.me
- you-spam.com (brakes links)
Providers that generally accept our emails without delivery issues include:
- gmail.com
- icloud.com
- hotmail.com
- live.com
- web.de
- qq.com
-
Accounts that are not activated are automatically removed within 3 days of registration.
If your unconfirmed account has already been deleted, simply register again.
Important: Please do not contact support regarding missing activation emails. We do not respond to such requests and cannot provide any assistance beyond the troubleshooting steps listed above. If the activation email cannot be delivered to your mailbox, support replies sent to the same email address will not be delivered either.
Q: The activation link says it’s invalid.
A: In most cases, your account has already been successfully activated. Please try logging in normally.
Q: I can’t log into my account.
A: Please use the “Forgot password?” option on the login page to reset your password.
Also make sure that:
- Your account has been activated
- Cookies and JavaScript are enabled in your browser
- You are entering the correct username/email and password
Q: Can a deleted account be restored?
A: No. Deleted accounts and their associated data cannot be recovered.
Q: How do I delete my account?
A: Log into your account, open your profile menu, and click “Delete my profile.”
Please note that account deletion is permanent.
Uploads & Content
Q: Why do I only see Gay categories when uploading videos?
A: Upload categories are filtered according to the orientation selected in your profile settings:
- Gay users see Gay categories
- Straight users see Straight categories
- Bisexual users see both
This system helps prevent content from being posted in the wrong sections.
Q: I try to upload videos or photos, but nothing happens when I click “Submit.”
A: Please check the following:
- Your title must contain at least 5 characters
- Your description must contain at least 25 characters
- JavaScript must be enabled in your browser
- Browser extensions or ad blockers may interfere with uploads
The indicator below the text fields changes from orange to green once all requirements are met.
Q: Videos do not play, or I see the error "HTML5: Video file not found".
A: If videos do not play or you see the error "HTML5: Video file not found", please try the following:
- Disable your VPN, proxy, or similar network software.
- Try a different browser on the same device.
- Try a different device, such as another computer, phone, or tablet.
If none of the above resolves the issue, please do not contact support regarding video playback problems. We are unable to provide any troubleshooting or assistance beyond the steps listed above.
Q: Why can’t I upload scat content?
A: Uploads to this category are no longer accepted. Please refer to our Important Update announcement for more information regarding restricted content categories.
Q: Can I download videos to my computer?
A: No. Downloading is disabled to help protect creators’ private content and prevent unauthorized redistribution on other websites.
Video Upload Statuses
Q: Why is my video waiting to be processed?
A: Your upload has been accepted and is waiting to be processed by our system before it can be reviewed by a moderator.
Depending on the current system load, this stage may take anywhere from a few minutes to more than 24 hours. No action is required from you while your video is waiting to be processed.
Q: Why is my video pending moderator review?
A: Your video has been processed successfully and is now waiting for review by a moderator.
During moderation, we verify that the upload complies with our Terms of Service and content guidelines. The video will become available only after it has been approved.
Q: Why was my video rejected after review?
A: Your video did not pass moderator review and cannot be published.
The most common reason is the presence of visible watermarks, logos, or branding from other websites. Videos may also be rejected if they violate our Terms of Service or other content guidelines.
Q: Why did my upload fail?
A: Your video could not be added to the site.
The most common reason is that the same video has already been uploaded, either by you or by another user. Uploads may also fail if the video file is corrupted, incomplete, or uses an unsupported format.
Uploading the same file again will not resolve this issue. If the video is a duplicate, the upload will fail again. If the file is corrupted or incomplete, you must upload a valid copy of the video.
Q: Why was my video removed due to a technical error?
A: Your video was removed because of an internal system error.
This is an uncommon issue that may occur if the video cannot be processed correctly after it has been uploaded.
Q: Why was my video removed due to a copyright claim?
A: We received a valid copyright complaint regarding your video and were required to remove it.
If you believe the claim was made in error, you may submit a DMCA counter-notification as described in our Copyright Policy.
Q: Why was my video removed due to a privacy request?
A: Your video was removed after receiving a valid privacy complaint from a person appearing in the content or otherwise affected by it.
Q: Why was my video removed due to illegal content?
A: Your video was removed because it violates applicable law or our Terms of Service.
Content that is illegal or otherwise prohibited cannot be hosted on ThisVid. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions or permanent suspension.
Watermark Registration
Q: What is Watermark Registration?
A: Watermark Registration allows you to tell us which watermarks, brands, usernames, logos, websites, social media accounts, or other identifiers may appear in your videos.
The purpose of this system is to help legitimate creators, studios, brands, and content owners upload their own content without unnecessary moderation issues caused by ownership-identifying watermarks.
Q: Why should I register my watermark?
A: Videos containing creator names, studio brands, websites, social media accounts, logos, or other ownership-identifying watermarks may receive additional moderation review.
By registering your watermark, you inform our moderation team that this watermark may legitimately appear in content uploaded from your account.
Q: How long does Watermark Registration take?
A: You can upload videos immediately after submitting the form.
There is no waiting period and no approval is required before uploading.
Q: How do I know my registration was submitted successfully?
A: After submitting the form, a green mark will appear in your Watermark Registration panel.
If it appears in the panel, your registration has been saved successfully, and no further action is required.
Q: Does Watermark Registration verify ownership?
A: No.
Watermark Registration is a declaration, not a verification process.
By submitting a registration, you are informing us that a particular watermark, account, brand, website, logo, or identifier may appear in content uploaded from your account.
Q: Does registering a watermark guarantee that my videos will be approved?
A: No.
All uploads remain subject to the platform's moderation rules.
Watermark Registration helps moderators understand ownership claims, but it does not override moderation policies.
Q: What types of watermarks should be registered?
A: Examples include:
- OnlyFans, Fansly, Clip4Sale, ManyVids, and similar creator accounts
- Creator names and aliases
- Studio or agency names
- Telegram channels
- Personal websites and domains
- Social media accounts (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Logos and branded graphics
Q: What types of watermarks do NOT need registration?
A: Examples include:
- Video editing software watermarks (CapCut, InShot, Filmora, etc.)
- Generic platform branding that does not identify the content owner
- Service logos without creator identification
- Technical overlays that do not indicate ownership
For example, a CapCut watermark or a generic X/Twitter logo does not need to be registered.
Can I upload videos from my own OnlyFans, Fansly, Clip4Sale, or similar platform?
A: Yes.
If the account belongs to you, you should register the watermark, account, website, or brand before uploading videos containing it.
Can I upload videos with my Telegram channel watermark?
A: Yes.
If the channel belongs to you or your organization, it can be registered and used in your videos.
Can I upload videos with links to my social media accounts?
A: Yes.
You may register social media accounts that you own and use them as watermarks in your videos.
Can I use a direct URL as a watermark?
A: Yes.
You may register websites, profile URLs, creator pages, and similar destinations that belong to you.
Can I upload videos with multiple watermarks?
A: Yes.
You may use multiple watermarks in the same video.
We recommend registering all ownership-identifying watermarks that may appear in your content.
What if I change my brand, username, website, or platform?
A: If you start using a new watermark, account, website, creator name, or brand, simply submit a new Watermark Registration entry for it.
What if I originally used a personal text watermark and later created an OnlyFans account?
A: That's fine.
Simply register the new watermark and continue uploading videos using it.
Previously uploaded videos are not affected.
Can I use animated or moving watermarks?
A: Yes.
Animated, moving, or repositioned watermarks are allowed as long as they remain recognizable.
What happens to videos that were previously rejected because of a watermark?
A: If the watermark belongs to you, register it and contact support.
Our team can review previously rejected uploads on a case-by-case basis.
What if my watermark contains minor spelling differences, formatting changes, or different fonts?
A: Minor visual differences usually do not matter.
Moderators evaluate the overall identity represented by the watermark rather than requiring an exact visual match.
What if my watermark is only a logo with no text?
A: Logos may be registered.
If possible, provide additional information that helps identify the logo.
Can I create a compilation and place my own watermark on it?
A: No.
Registering a watermark does not grant ownership of content created by others.
You must have the necessary rights to all content you upload.
Content Moderation
How does video moderation work?
A: All uploaded videos are reviewed to ensure they comply with platform rules and policies.
Moderation may be performed using automated systems, manual review, or a combination of both.
All uploads are subject to moderation, including videos from creators who have registered watermarks.
How long does moderation take?
A: Most videos are reviewed within 1 to 24 hours.
In rare cases, moderation may take up to 72 hours (3 days), for example when additional review is required or moderation volume is unusually high.
Please do not re-upload the same video while moderation is still in progress, as this may create duplicate submissions and further delays.
Can videos be published before moderation is completed?
A: No.
Videos must pass moderation before they become publicly available on the platform.
Why was my video rejected?
A: Videos may be rejected for various reasons, including but not limited to:
- Suspected copyright or ownership concerns
- Unregistered ownership-identifying watermarks
- Violations of platform content policies
- Technical issues with the uploaded file
- Misleading or prohibited metadata
Moderation decisions are based on the overall content and circumstances of each upload.
My video contains my own watermark. Why was it rejected?
A: Make sure the watermark is registered in the Watermark Registration section.
If the watermark belongs to you and the video was rejected, contact support and request a review.
Does Watermark Registration guarantee approval?
A: No.
Watermark Registration helps moderators understand ownership claims, but all videos must still comply with platform rules.
Can rejected videos be reviewed again?
A: Yes.
If you believe your video was rejected by mistake, contact support and provide any relevant information that may help the review process.
What happens if I repeatedly upload content that violates the rules?
A: Repeated violations may result in account termination.
Why was one video approved while a similar video was rejected?
A: Moderation decisions are based on the complete context of each upload.
Factors such as metadata, watermarks, content details, account history, and other signals may affect the outcome.
Can moderators make mistakes?
A: Yes.
While we strive for consistency and accuracy, mistakes can happen.
If you believe a moderation decision was incorrect, contact support and request a review.
Does contacting support guarantee that my video will be restored?
A: No.
Support can review moderation decisions, but content will only be restored if the review determines that the original decision was incorrect.
Can old rejected videos be restored?
A: In some cases, yes.
If a video was rejected because of ownership concerns and you can demonstrate that the content belongs to you, contact support and request another review.

Q: How to remove copyrighted content (DMCA)?
A: If you own the copyright to content uploaded on the platform, you can submit a DMCA takedown request.
